In 1939 General Motors built three transparent automobiles to be displayed at the New York World’s Fair event, and today the only remaining 100% transparent car in the world, a Pontiac Deluxe seven-window touring sedan is going up for sale. In between, it’s been on tour all over the country, displayed at the Smithsonian, and owned by a private citizen.
