I had no idea what a Lamprey was but after doing a little bit of google search i found that lamprey means stone lickers, but what did this had to do with fishes? Well Lampreys (sometimes also called lamprey eels) are a family of jawless fish, whose adults are characterized by a toothed, funnel-like sucking mouth. While lampreys are well-known for those species which bore into the flesh of other fish to suck their blood, most species of lamprey are non-parasitic and never feed on other fish. In zoology, lampreys are sometimes not considered to be true fish because of their distinctive morphology and physiology. One thing is for sure with lampreys: they look incredible weird!

Meet Lucas Hembree a 4 year old boy from East Tennessee and his dog, who happens to be the best friend this kid will ever have in his life. Lucas has a rare disease, Sanfilippo syndrome, which affects his entire body. This illness can’t be cured or treated. According to doctors, Lucas will be in a vegetative state within 5 years.His parents wished to get a service dog to help their child with his daily challenges, but this $14,000 idea was not affordable. Belgian Malanois Juno, rescued from a dog shelter days before being euthanized, became a literal shoulder for Lucas to lean on. Their relationship is exceptional. The little boy and the dog help each other in ways that only they fully understand.
Every time i watch these incredible places i make a promise to myself to get out more and forget about the WWW for at least one day. It’s hard to believe these amazing landscapes still exist on planet Earth, but they do. We have a beautiful planet and we should do everything we can to protect it!
